2004 Meade LX200 GPS - 8 inch F/10 Schmidt Cassegrain Catadioptric.

A fantastic Scope which changed everything with great optics, GOTO computerised controll and fully portable to take out into the field.  Sold 2008.

This magnificent instrument is a "Time machine" enabling me to look further back in time than ever before.  Here fitted wiyth an SBIG ST2000 XMC CCD Camera.

            The objective has an "anti  dew" heating strap and 3 dimensional balance enhanced with a swing counter weight.

       The Mount is the Tkahashi EM200 with GOTO capablity.

 Guidance is via the laptop with Sky 6 Professional software.

                  Focal length is 1000mm  often increased to 1600mm with a 1.6 extender.

       This Scope redefined Astro imaging for me.
